F40 Motorsports is proud to offer this 1929 Ford Model A Roadster Hotrod.1929 FORD “HIGHBOY” ROADSTER This roadster was built in the manner of a traditional hot rod of the post World War II period in Southern California. Technical skills learned in the Southern California aviation industry during the war were applied to modifying old Fords for more speed and racing on the dry lake beds of the Mojave Desert and the Bonneville Salt Flats. The car was built from Ford parts and speed equipment that were available and typically used at the time. Special features of the car include a highly modified 1946 Ford “flathead” motor and a very rare “quick change” rear axle differential to permit fast gear changes as racing conditions change.
