1932 Ford Roadster

1932 Ford Roadster for sale in Portland, CT

Vehicle Description

F40 Motorsports is proud to offer this 1932 Ford Roadster. This ’32 Roadster was built by the current owner and Robin Dripps to race at Bonneville. Built on a TCI chassis with a steel Brookeville body, the car was assembled by Bob Dauernheim in New Jersey and competed between 2005 and 2010, twice holding the E/STR record at 168.370 and 173.609 mph. The car underwent constant refinement and modification during this period before the duo changed to a ’34 build and sold the ’32. After reacquiring the car around 2018, Dauernheim was again employed to rebuild the car in street-able form, which involved adding a new roll bar, custom fuel tank, pedals, and windscreens. He retained the car’s aluminum interior panels and race numbers. The car has a 283ci V8 topped by a Holley carburetor and linked to a five-speed manual transmission and a quick-change rear end, and it has a drilled drop axle, a Posies Super Slide spring, and hairpins up front, while the rear has a four-link setup with coilovers. Rob Ida fabricated a louvered roll pan for the build, and the car also has cycle fenders, aero wheel covers, and four-wheel disc brakes.
