F40 Motorsports is proud to offer this stunning 1948 Chrysler Town & Country. This Town and Country has been restored to original specifications and colors. The 250.6-cu.in. L-head inline-six was rated at 114 SAE horsepower when new. Power is sent through a Chrysler Fluid Drive four-speed semi-automatic transmission. The clutch is used only to shift into reverse and forward gears. Once in forward, the transmission shifts between gears simply by lifting on the gas. The exterior was restored in the original Chrysler Mountain Cedar Green. Authentic ash and mahogany wood panels are surrounded by contrasting frames. The body, trim, and glass all appear to continue to present strongly. A restored wood and metal roof rack adds carrying capacity between town and country. The seats are covered in green leather with distinctive plaid seating surfaces. Contrasting woods trim the door panels and window frames. The green painted and chrome dashboard appears complete with all original features. The floors are covered with matching green carpet trimmed in leather. Mahogany top bows line the headliner, mimicking a convertible top. The trunk and underside of the trunk lid are also carpeted. Tire changing tools and a wide whitewall spare tire included in the trunk. The restored undercarriage appears to present cleanly. The odometer reads 76,537 miles, which may be original to the car. Wide-whitewall tires are mounted on 15-inch painted steel wheels.
